Meet John
John Bender, CIC
John is a seasoned insurance professional whoโs pleased to call Enders his home. In insurance, he started with handling claims, then progressed to writing home and auto policies, eventually making the jump to writing insurance for businesses. John earned his CIC designation in 2006. Over his career, he has developed specialties in categories such as Financial Institutions, Restaurants, Grocery Stores, Contractors, and Non-Profits.
Always one to be very active in the local community, John has volunteered his time to help coach youth soccer and basketball, volunteers on the United Way of the Capital Regionโs Community Impact Committee, and serves as a member of the Harrisburg Rotary Club. In 2004, John was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel to Nigeria on a professional exchange sponsored by the Rotary Foundation. He helped start a non-profit theatre company that is going on its 20th year. John has also been a volunteer adaptive ski instructor since 2002 giving his time at both Jack Frost and at Roundtop working with the Baltimore Adaptive Recreation and Sports to help folks who just need a bit more assistance to get out and hit the slopes.
He enjoys spending time with his wife Jacquie and twins David and Clara. The Bender family can be found kayaking, sailing, biking, hiking, camping, and playing golf. Also, if you see him, ask him about throwing hatchets in the back yard!
Johnโs greatest professional strength is his ability to take complex topics and explain them in ways that make the complex easy to understand. Working in the insurance industry gives John the opportunity to continue to serve each and every Enders client with a humble servants heart.
